It’s a crazy time at the moment with everything being affected by the Coronavirus and the music industry has been hit harder than most. However, with everybody being quarantined at home, this could be the perfect time to develop your skills as a DJ.

Although the course originated from in person sessions, it has been developed over the last year to be delivered online through Zoom or Skype - perfect for our current conditions.

If you're finally ready to take your DJ skills to the next level - you've come to the right place. This "Hybrid" experience is unlike any other online DJ course in that you get DJ Lyris as your personal, one on one trainer.

Run over 6 weeks, covering 5 different units you and DJ Lyris will spend an hour a week together over Skype or Zoom where you are the star of the show. You'll learn the fundamentals the right way to deliver a strong foundation on which you can pursue any avenue in the DJ business.

The price for the course is a one time payment of $450 which can be paid through paypal or Venmo.

Mixing Fundamentals Course Outline

5 Units

Unit 1: Setup and Break Down DJ Equipment

In this session you will learn how to set up your own equipment and breakdown for any gig - I’m teaching how to break down equipment so you can be in any setting - whether its a controller or turntable.

Unit 2: Music Organization (Crate Structure)

In this session you will learn how to organize your music and libraries in order to optimize your workflow during gigs. 

Unit 3 - Part 1: Count Music / Beat Gridding

In this session you will learn the fundamentals of how to count music and bars.

Unit 3 - Part 2: Count Music / Beat Gridding

In this session you will learn the fundamentals of how to count music and bars.

Unit 4: Beat Matching / Mixing / Blending

In this session you will learn the fundamentals of how to blend tracks together.

Unit 5: Basic Scratches

In this session you will learn two basic scratches: “The Baby Scratch” and “The Chirp”  

Pricing & Timing

This course is delivered online through Zoom or Skype over a 6 week period where we have one hour a week to handle each unit of the course apart from Unit three which typically requires two sessions.
